Landscape Lighting

Landscape lighting for the hours you’re actually home

Low-voltage LED lighting for the house, the garden and the paths — designed after dark, in layers for structure, safety and detail.

We design it after dark

A lighting plan starts with the property at night: the paths you walk from the drive, the trees and features worth showing off, the steps and corners that need light for safety. We walk it with you, then build the design in layers.

Uplighting gives the plan its structure, washing the face of the house, a stone wall or a big tree from below. Path lights point down onto walks and steps. Accent lights pick out the details — a fountain, a planting, a pillar by the drive. Used together, the three make a yard look finished at night rather than floodlit.

We install high-quality, low-voltage LED fixtures made to hold up outdoors for years. The job can be a few accent lights on the front of the house or a plan for the whole property, and it pairs naturally with the patios, walls and water features we build.

How it goes

From first walkthrough to first nightfall

  1. Site walkthrough

The house, the planting and the pathways, looked at after dark before we design anything.

  2. Design and fixture selection

A layered plan in which uplighting, path lighting and accents are chosen to work together.

  3. Installation and care

Careful installation and clear guidance, so the lighting stays reliable and looks its best for years.

Answers

Landscape Lighting: common questions

How much does landscape lighting cost to install?

Landscape lighting is priced by the plan: how many fixtures, how far the wire has to run, and how many layers — uplighting, path lights, accents — the property needs. A few accent lights on the front of a house is a small job; a full property plan is a larger one. We quote after walking it.

Is landscape lighting worth it?

For most homes, yes. Good lighting makes a house and garden look their best after dark, lights the steps and paths people actually walk, and adds to the value of the property. It also lets you use a patio or garden in the evening, which is when most people are home.

How does low-voltage landscape lighting work?

A transformer connected to household power steps the current down to low voltage, and that low-voltage line runs to each fixture. Low voltage is safer to run through a garden than line voltage, and with LED fixtures it uses very little power. We use quality low-voltage LED fixtures built for outdoor use.

What is the difference between uplighting and path lighting?

Uplighting shines up from the ground onto a tree, a wall or the front of a house to show its shape — it is the structure of a lighting plan. Path lighting points down onto walks and steps for safety. Accent lights pick out the details. A good plan uses all three together.
